A 1000 years in 1 hour!
Learn who's who in the Danish royal history, and find out why Roskilde Cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour guides will navigate you and your group through 1000 years of history in one hour seeing all the highlights! Hear why the 800 year old red bricks are so fantastic, what was the Cathedral like in Catholic times, what Gothic architecture means, and get all the good stories about the Danish monarchy.
We offer guided tours in English. German and Spanish on request.
800 DKK (+ entrance fee pr. person) The price in 2024 will be 950 kr. Bookings made after January 1, 2024 will be the new price.

Please book a guide at least one month in advance, since we are often fully booked. Cancellations has to be made 48 hours before or the full amount will be charged.
Tourist groups are welcome at the Cathedral.
We only schedule the visits of our own guided tours, so it is not necessary to inform us prior to your group's visit. Remember to check the opening hours, since the Cathedral might close due to church services. It is not possible to open the Cathedral outside opening hours for safety reasons. See opening hours here.
Entrance fee for groups is 50 DKK for min. 10 persons. The tour guide is free. We accept most vouchers and credit cards. Rates for 2024 will be the same as in 2023.

Find toilets at Stændertorvet - the large square by the church.
We recommend using a headset when guiding, which the Cathedral have 80 sets of to use free of charge. Ask an employee to show you.
